Deep Dive Blog #3; Final Fantasy Spoilers, Pokemon, and More!

Hello hello party people! This is the third installment of the Deep Dive Blog, and we’ve a bit to discuss. First thing off the list will be the new pre-orders that us at Deep Dive have gotten in. Having gotten in our new allocations, as of writing we still have available pre-orders for both the Elite Trainer Boxes and the Booster Boxes. If that brings any interest to you, I will say that they are a hot seller so you better come in as soon as you can! I personally find this set to be something to look forward to as it focuses primarily on Fifth Generation (which is my personal favorite). While this does make it something to look forward to for not just I but others in the Pokémon community, it can definitely be hoped that this set has better pull rates than Prismatic Evolutions! Now, onto the other news of this week.

With the new zeitgeist being Universe’s Beyond sets in our beloved magical gathering, Final Fantasy is the topic of the town as the preconstructed Commander decks were recently spoiled along with some of the cards that will be included in them as well as the set overall. Such as big hitters like Cactuar and Terra, Herald of Hope or things that people are even head over heels looking forward to like Cloud, EX-Soldier. While I haven’t played much Final Fantasy in my day, I myself am very excited to build around one of these pre-cons as the overall theme of Final Fantasy can definitely fit into Magic the Gathering. Such as characters like Sephiroth, a fan favorite villain in the media altogether. Though as I said I haven’t played much, I still do very much like the story and themes that they bring to the table. As do many!

One rather controversial effect of all of this does seem to be the fact that Universe’s Beyond is taking over Magic Sets this year. Having a confirmed Spiderman and SpongeBob set for the future is definitely some food for thought. While something like Final Fantasy can definitely fit into the bounds of Magic, can the same be said for the likes of media such as SpongeBob? Or for that matter, even Spiderman? Who’s to say, we’ll have to wait and see what the cards in the set have to offer.

Now, moving onto the last bit of dialogue for the day. While I had mentioned our pre-orders for Journey Together, us at Deep Dive just recently got in a few more trinkets and doodads that will enhance any of your tabletop roleplaying experiences, primarily being centered around Dungeons and Dragons. In collaboration with Hrothgar’s Hoard, a local TTRPG focused business, we are now selling wooden dice holders that are modeled after Mimics as well as character archetype themed journals for your D&D campaign! As of me writing this, both are still in stock. So if you’ve any interest in either, or just want to spice up your D&D campaign, I highly recommend snagging some for you or your party!

Now with all of this said and done, have a beautiful rest of your day or night as this is your beloved writer signing off. Arrivederci!
